Dedication

The Land of EPIC is dedicated to Janet Barnard Sams, my wife, shipmate, companion, partner, editor, confidante and best friend. Her patience, wisdom, and advice over the years have shaped many of the ideas and concepts that comprise the Land of EPIC. Her protection of my time,  encouragement, and editing was crucial in bringing this project to a conclusion.

About: Bill Sams

 The Land of EPIC represents five decades of ideas and thoughts and five months of reasonably dedicated effort in its production. At this point in my personal journey through this life, I have spent one-third of the time in formal education and the military (BBA, MBA, JD, Captain, US Air Force), another third in an executive career in the semiconductor and software industries of Silicon Valley, (Fairchild, Synertek, Assisted Technology, LSI Logic, Catalyst), and the final third in exploring the world and life in general (sailing from San Francisco to New Zealand, adjunct instructor at Ohio University as well as Associate Provost and CIO, Chairman of the eTech Ohio Commission and a founding investor in the Ohio Tech Angel Fund).
